Combining the exterior world with the indoor arena of soft furnishings allows Buzz Interior Design to look both inside and out.
Interiors
It is important to create a living or working space sympathetic and appropriate to period design that will also suit personal taste and lifestyle. I understand every client is different so my designs are tailored to meet individual styles, budgets and needs – all of which are unique to every customer. Providing inspiration to both residential and commercial properties, I look to transform spaces into functional, distinctive retreats that work for you.
Although I have a preferred selection of suppliers I am not tied to any particular brand or company, allowing me to research the market to find the perfect products to suit your finances and requirements. I like to ensure the product compliments both the property and the owner and am always keen to recycle products where possible, especially unusual items that create a unique statement.
At Buzz Interior Design I can source and research all aspects of products including:
Fabric & Wallcoverings –I look to an initial stock library then to the general market place Furniture & Flooring – products, positioning, space and storage solutions Colour schemes –Not forgetting pattern, texture, lighting and ambience. Garden enhancements & planting – Helping to create the Inside, outside and vice-versa
The Programme
Buzz Interior Design will implement individual segments of design allowing customers to start or break away at any Phase of the process. The choice and flexibility is yours allowing you to initiate only those phases that fit your own alteration plans.
Phase 1 – Consultation meeting – An initial first discussion to build a connection and discuss your brief. * Mileage charges may apply. Phase 2 – Creation of the design with presentation mood boards incorporating samples. Various pricing options available and will be discussed following the Initial consultation. * Some suppliers may charge for samples. Phase 3 – Soft furnishings – Made to measure by traditional makers Phase 4 – Product Ordering – Trade, with an option to purchase Retail if desired. Phase 5 – Full Management and co-ordination of the Design Project using a team of local professional contractors or utilising your own tradesmen. Where possible I use small local trades and companies to create made to measure items for an individual finish.
Garden Enhancements
So many homes are looking to extend their living space into the garden. Some simple enhancements to transform the external areas of your property can be easily achieved. Working with briefs and budgets I can provide solutions to pull your scheme together.
Growing your own fruit and vegetables can be extremely rewarding and a healthy way to put food onto the table, especially if you try to garden organically or as naturally as possible. If you are not sure where to start, then Buzz can help with Vegetable plot planning and tips. Don’t forget that man hours for maintenance throughout the year are essential but when you dig up that first early potato or pick a handful of beans you reap those tasty rewards.
Soft Furnishings
Having lost the Design and Sewing Workroom when relocating from Three B's Southbourne Studio to home, I now work with local traditional makers, fitters and upholsterers to create those bespoke, made to measure products, often finished by hand. Having been hands on in the workroom for 5 years it helps me to understand the methods of making up curtains, soft furnishings and upholstery and occasionally I still assist the team to ensure projects are completed on time. No assignment is too small – from the simplest curtain alteration to multi-room assignments.
In addition to owning a selective collection of fabrics from different providers, I also stock small samples of tracks, poles and accessories and am happy to source alternatives to fit with themes. All of which can be viewed at Honeysuckle Cottage or in the comfort of your own home.
Works undertaken include:
- Curtains & Voiles
- Blinds
- Accessories – Cushions / Tie backs / Poles / Tracks etc.
- Upholstery & Re-upholstery
House Styling
Trying to sell your property with no success!!!
First appearances are essential for that all-important sale, helping potential buyers envisage life in their new home. Pre-sale makeover discussions incorporating furniture positioning, colour, decluttering and storage solutions can transform busy, tired rooms and make best use of the space available at a relatively low cost. A little home magic together with basic garden enhancements can help change the “For Sale” sign to “SOLD”.
Property Management
Property Maintenance can be time consuming, especially for those individuals who work irregular hours or have second homes. Organising tradesmen to view & undertake projects at times to suit your busy schedule can be challenging to coordinate.
As a key-holder I can resolve the problem of someone being on site to allow professional trades access to your property. From chimney sweeps to fencing companies, carpet cleaners to Scaffolders, projects can be completed smoothly during your absence, providing you with the knowledge and peace of mind that your home is secure.
